This course builds on the Basic Science and Basic Nursing courses by considering the care of the patient undergoing surgery in more depth. Through this course, a student will acquire the pre-requisite knowledge and basic skills necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate care for patients with surgical conditions. A student will acquire proficiency in inter-professional and interdisciplinary care delivery for patients with surgical conditions. Caring for surgical patients could be challenging, however, this course will provide a student with the skills transferable to all aspects of nursing care
